Attended Architecture for Humanity’s first Design Like You Give A Damn conference and it was absolutely wonderful!

The extremely knowledgeable guest panelists on innovative financial models, how to evaluate successful humanitarian design, and post-disaster rebuilding were completely eye-opening.

Oh, and the concurrent open-mic presentation of amazing projects was incredibly empowering - can’t wait to attend next year!

Why Design Now?
It was exciting to see the WDN? humanitarian design exhibit; many of the projects so empowering!
Although some of the curatorial decisions were perplexing the presentations were wonderful!

Haitians Cry in Letters: ‘Please — Do Something!

In yesterdays New York Times article: Haitians Cry in Letters: ‘Please — Do Something!’ Haitians have found themselves “hungry, stressed and stranded in a camp annex without a school, a health clinic, a marketplace or any activity at all.”

Our hearts go out the the people of Haiti, and we’re continuing to work as hard as we can to provide a place that meets these universally human needs.

Our exhibit was well received!

We’re excited to continue on with our project and will post more images soon, but we’re going to take a couple days of much needed down time.

A huge thanks to everyone who came out and brought food!
